The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a new EU regulation aimed at helping to strengthen data protection for EU citizens and residents both within the EU and the wider world and will be effective May 25th, 2018.
If you are in the EU and opt to receive a freebie or participate in free training, register for a webinar or live event, or purchase a product, your email address will not be added to the email list to receive our newsletter and updates unless you affirmatively consent to it.

Information Collected from You
We use the information we collect from you to send you targeted marketing and promotional communications. If at any time you indicated an interest in a particular field related to our Site, then we and/or our third-party marketing partners may use this relevant information to send you additional communication regarding similar products/services.

Adding a Blog Comment
Should you choose to add a comment to any posts or pages, you may leave your email address for the purpose of receiving comment replies. Any name or email address you enter will be saved to our site’s database along with your computer’s IP address and the time and date that you submitted the comment.
This information is only used to identify you as a contributor to the comment section and is not passed on to any of the third-party data processors. Only your name will be shown on the public-facing website although if the supplied email address is linked to a Gravatar account, your Gravatar photo will also be displayed.
Your comment and its associated personal data will remain on this site until we see fit to either:

- Remove the blog post

They gather anonymous standard internet log information and details of visitor behavior patterns, for example, data on how people are using our site, and then provide us with visitor statistics, details of page views, etc.
This website is built on WordPress, a website content management system. This service may collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the website, for example, the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it.
WordPress requires visitors that want to post a comment, to enter a name and an email address. If you submit a comment on a blog post or page published on this website or if you submit a contact form, some personal information will be stored in this website’s database.

When someone visits Home Made Our Way’s Etsy store, Etsy will gather information and details of visitor behavior patterns, for example, cart abandonment and product views, and then provide us with such information.
Information collected from these third-party tools and any others that we may use in the future is used only for statistical and analytical purposes and for evaluating and making improvements to our Site. If we add any third-party tools that collect this type of information, we will try to provide you with their name and their privacy policies.

California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA Policy)
California Consumer Privacy Act (hereafter, “CCPA”) is a California privacy law that is effective as of January 1, 2020. This notice was last updated and reviewed on February 23, 2023.

The CCPA provides consumers (California residents) with specific rights regarding their personal information. This section describes your CCPA rights and explains how to exercise those rights.
Right to Know
You have the right to request that we disclose certain information to you about our collections and use of your personal information over the past 12 months. This right under the CCPA is the Right to Know. Once we receive your request and confirm your identity, we will disclose to you:
- the categories of personal information we collected about you
- the categories of sources for the personal information we collected about you
- our business or commercial purpose for collecting or selling that personal information
- the categories of third parties with whom we share that personal information
- If we sold or disclosed your personal information for a business purpose, two separate lists disclosing:

Right to Delete

Under CCPA, as amended by CPRA, you have the right to request that we correct any inaccurate personal information we maintain about you, taking into account the nature of the personal information and the purposes of the processing of the personal information.

Under CCPA, as amended by CPRA, consumers also have the right to limit the use of the collected sensitive or personal information on them to the particular purposes and categories that the business collected the information.
Right to Non-Discrimination for Exercising CCPA Rights
We will not discriminate against you for exercising any of your CCPA rights. Unless permitted by the CCPA, we will not:

- charge you different prices or rates for goods or services, including through granting discounts or other benefits, or imposing penalties.

- suggest that you may receive a different price or rate for goods or services or a different level or quality of goods or services.
However, we may offer you certain financial incentives permitted by the CCPA that can result in different prices, rates, or quality levels. Participation in a financial incentive program requires your prior opt-in consent, which you may revoke at any time.

Exercising Your Rights to Know or Delete
To exercise your rights to know or delete described above, please submit a request by either:

Only you, or someone legally authorized to act on your behalf, may make a request to know or delete related to your personal information.
You may also make a request to know or delete on behalf of your child (age 13 or younger) by emailing us at [email protected].
You may only submit a request to know twice within a 12-month period. Your request to know or delete must:
- provide sufficient information that allows us to reasonably verify you are the person about whom we collected personal information or an authorized representative, which may include:
- copy of a valid identification card such as a driver’s license
- copy of the payment card used if you purchased an item in our shop
- confirming an email address by supplying us with a series of (6) six numbers that we will email to you
- describe your request with sufficient detail that allows us to properly understand, evaluate, and respond to it.
We cannot respond to your request or provide you with personal information if we cannot verify your identity or authority to make the request and confirm the personal information relates to you.
We will only use the personal information provided in the request to verify the requestor’s identity or authority to make it.
Response Timing and Format
We will confirm receipt of your request within (10) ten business days. If you do not receive confirmation within the 10-day timeframe, please contact us at [email protected].
If your identity and request were verifiable, then we will respond within forty-five (45) days of the receipt of the request. If we require more time (up to another 45 days), we will inform you of the reason and extension period in writing.
If you have an account with us, we will deliver our written response to that account. If you do not have an account with us, we will deliver our written response by mail or electronically at your option.
Any disclosures we provide will only cover the 12-month period preceding our receipt of your request. The response we provide will also explain the reasons we cannot comply with a request, if applicable. For data portability requests, we will select a format to provide your personal information that is readily useable and should allow you to transmit the information from one entity to another entity without hindrance.
We do not charge a fee to process or respond to your verifiable consumer request unless it is excessive, repetitive, or manifestly unfounded. If we determine that the request warrants a fee, we will tell you why we made the decision and provide you with a cost estimate before completing your request.
Personal Information Sales Opt-Out and Opt-In Rights
If you are age 16 or older, you have the right to direct us not to sell your personal information at any time (the “right to opt-out”). We do not sell the personal information of consumers we actually know are less than 16 years old, unless we receive affirmative authorization (the “right to opt-in”) from either the consumer who is between 13 and 15 years old or the parent or guardian of a consumer less than 13 years old. Consumerss who opt-in to personal information sales may opt out of future sales at any time.
