Do you find yourself with a dresser drawer full of bras in a tangled mess?
Have you tried the Kon-Mari (Marie Kondo) way to organize your bras and they don’t seem to sit pretty?
This has been my bra issue for a while now and that is why I want to share how I found my simple and pretty bra organizer that you can do yourself.

The Bra Dilemma
Before Marie Kondo and her book, The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up, I would simply toss my sports bras and ‘comfy’ bras into my dresser drawer.
Despite this, I did take care of my nice bras by hanging them in my closet using hangers made for pants. I would just use those pinchers right where the strap and cup meet.

After reading Marie Kondo’s book, I decided to untangle that bra mess. I used a box to keep them together.
However, I go through three bras a day and so I never have enough bras to keep them nice and standing up.
They were always flopping over and the straps would just be everywhere.
I needed a better system.
At first, my solution was to hang them all the same way as my nicer bras.
But then this would take up more of my horizontal closet space.
At this point, I felt I had no choice so I opened the closet to decide on what stays and what goes in order to fit my bras.
Then I saw it!
Surprise! My New Bra Organizer
I never noticed this before, but my Kohl’s hangers had a special little notch just below the neck.
Anyway, I placed the head of another hanger into this notch and it fit.
So, now instead of taking up horizontal space, my bras can be stored vertically.
I think Marie Kondo would approve.
Making the Bra Organizer Pretty
Now, that I found my bra organizer, it was time to pretty them up.
Below are the steps I took to change my boring Kohl’s hangers into a pretty bra organizer.
Here are some hangers showing ‘tags’ that I made for them.
Now it’s time to start connecting them.
After fitting my bras onto all the hangers, I placed them in my closet and they barely took any space.
You could also hang them on the back of a door if closet space is an issue.
Anyway, if you are looking for a way to organize your bras in a way that does not take up space horizontally in your closet, try checking your closet for store hangers with these tabs.
You might just have them and didn’t notice.
If you shop at Kohl’s, you can ask the salesperson for hangers. If you don’t shop at Kohl’s, I have found these hangers on Amazon that also have that center notch for vertical storage.
My store always gives them away.
