The 2018 – 2019 student planner also comes in two different sizes. One size fits a typical 10.5″w x 11.5″h (26.67 cm x 29.21 cm) binder. This size is perfect for elementary and middle school students.
The other size is for mini binders. These sizes can vary so make sure it can hold a sheet of paper at 5.5″w x 8.5″h (13.97 cm x 21.59 cm). These are better suited for high school students.
Printing Your Planners
These student planners are only available in PDF. I have formatted these pages so that when printed back to front, everything should line up perfectly. However, here are some tips for printing them so that you don’t waste paper over the year.
Regular-Sized Binder
The following is the page sequence you should follow. The page number’s arrow will point to the page number that should be printed on the back.
- pg. 1–> pg.2 (only once)
- pg. 3–> pg. 4 (once monthly)
- pg. 5–> pg. 6 (once monthly)
- pg. 6 –>pg. 7 (print time = # of weeks in the month)

Mini-Size Planners
The following is the page sequence you should follow for the mini-size planners. Again, the page number’s arrow will point to the page number that should be printed on the back.
- pg. 1 –> pg. 2 (only once)
- pg. 3 –> pg. 4 (once monthly)
- pg. 5–> pg. 6 (once monthly)
- pg. 7–> pg. 8 (print time = # of weeks in the month)

- pg. 15 are your planner tabs (print once)
Recommendations
The following are recommendations so that your student’s planner will last throughout the year.
- laminate the title/calendar page and tab dividers OR…
- use reinforcement labels to keep these pages from ripping out over time
- for grade recorder and attendance sheets, use card stock or heavy paper, or again, you can also use reinforcement labels
Ways to Use Certain Pages
Weekly Sheets
For the weekly sheets, the small columns on the left of each day can be used to enter the time of day or can serve as a place to put a checkmark after one is done with a chore, assignment, etc.
Notes
Although the notes page says ‘Oodles of Doodles’, kids can use the space for notes and calculations. I like the graph part to help keep their numbers straight when calculating math problems. But, of course, they can use that part to create some pixelated artwork.
Attendance Recorder
We use colored highlighters on our attendance recorder. Yellow for days in school, pink for weekends, orange for holidays, and green for vacations.
Grade Recorder
Personally, I would print out one grade recorder per subject rather than using the same sheet for all subjects. This way it will be easier to add up the grades at the end of the year for their final grade.
Web Resources
If your student is not homeschooled, then please be careful when filling out the web resources page. Instead of entering the actual password, I would fill in a hint for that password. This way, if they misplace their planner, then you don’t have to worry about someone getting a hold of their internet information.
